The concert was absolutely fabulous!

Zeb and I got to the amphitheater at 5 and met up with a guy (Patrick) and a couple of girls (Holly & Kelly) who were also volunteering. We got through the gates with our printed confirmations... got our super cool volunteer t-shirts (organic cotton) and our briefing on what Reverb is all about.

The gates opened at 6pm and our job was to talk to everyone we could... hand out brochures, sell $3 stickers to "remove your carbon footprint for up to 300 miles driving time" and enter people in a raffle to win either a gorgeous black electric guitar signed by the members of Maroon 5 and Counting Crows or a solar-powered backpack to plug your stuff in to. Zeb and I banded together with Patrick and we did pretty well I think.

Augustana opened and they were awesome. I saw them in 2000 and they rocked then... they rocked harder now. :) Counting Crows took the stage at 8pm and we were allowed to attend the show after 8:15. The three of us used our volunteer passes to get all the way to the VIP section, where we snuck in at the high-top tables just behind the front section... very close to the stage. OMG... it was amazing. I got pictures... will upload later. Zeb got a ton of pictures too with his super nice camera.

At about 9:30 we were caught and booted from the VIP area... during the last song by CC, so it was okay. We retreated to the next section up and found more unoccupied seats to watch Maroon 5 (who I'm not a big fan of, but they put on a good show).

So much fun!!
